The revised New Jersey radon certification regulations are in effect as of December 3, 2022.
NJDEP still requires successful completion of an exam to obtain NJ certification, but as of December 3, 2022
no longer requires a New Jersey-specific exam, and accordingly NRPP is no longer offering the New Jersey-specific exams.
Individuals seeking NJ certification / licensing must take NRPP exams.
According to NJ DEP:
- The NJ measurement technician license requires the NRPP Radon Measurement Field Technician Exam
- The NJ measurement specialist license requires the NRPP Radon Measurement Professional exam
- The NJ mitigation specialist license requires the NRPP Radon Mitigation Specialist exam
