Supervisory Policy Changes August 2025

Radon Measurement Field Technician Certification Supervisory Policy update:

As of September 1, 2025, RMFTs will have seven (7) business days to notify NRPP when their supervisor changes or when the relationship is severed and the previously-reported supervisor is no longer supervising the RMFT.

After seven (7) days, if no new supervisor is reported, the RMFT’s certification will be inactivated. If, after 90 days, NRPP has not received an updated form, the RMFT’s certification will be revoked. RMFTs that cannot find a new supervisor and wish to remain certified must earn the full credential (RMP).

When certification is inactivated:
With inactivation, the individual’s professional profile is removed from NRPP’s Find-a-Pro directory but the individual will remain visible in the general search results. Inactivated individuals will be identified as having met all criteria for certification but are not currently associated with a supervisor.

When certification is revoked:
With revocation, the individual is removed from the Find-a-Pro directory and general search. Revoked certifications cannot be reinstated; the individual must apply as a new candidate and begin the process for initial certification.

Actions to take on your part:
We encourage you to review your certification record and update your supervisor’s name if needed. Changes to the supervisory relationship can be reported on the Statement of Professional’s Responsibility form, found in the individual’s certification portal at nrpp.info.

Audits of certification records:
NRPP has begun auditing certification records to confirm that all supervisory relationships reported on the Statement of Professional’s Responsibility form are accurate. If your supervisor has changed since you last submitted this form, please submit a new one through your certification portal at nrpp.info
