NRPP Exam FAQ’s

Q. HOW DO I REGISTER FOR AN EXAM?

A.    Visit https://nrpp.info/nrpp-exams/ and read the exam information. Then, proceed to Step 1 by clicking on the check boxes to acknowledge that you have read the online exam technical requirements. Once the boxes have been clicked, you will be able to add the exam to your cart and proceed to check out.

Q.   HOW DO I SCHEDULE MY EXAM?

A.    Once you have paid for your exam, you will receive an email from Examity, our third-party remote proctoring company. The email will contain log in information to set up your profile and schedule your exam on their platform. If you do not see this email, be sure to check your spam folder or email firewall.

Q.   WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS MY EXAM APPOINTMENT?

A.    If an exam appointment is missed, the test taker is marked as a no-show and must return to NRPP.info to purchase another exam before rescheduling. Test takers will receive an email with instructions. We recommend rescheduling exams at least 24 hours in advance to avoid additional exam fees.

Q.   WHAT IF I DON’T PASS MY EXAM AND NEED TO RETAKE IT?

A.    The NRPP requires a 30-day wait period between exam attempts (no more than four attempts in a 12-month period). Once your 30-days have passed, return to https://nrpp.info/nrpp-exams/ to purchase another exam. You do not need to log in to purchase an exam. Once you have purchased another exam, log back into Examity at https://prod.examity.com/AARST/  to schedule the exam.

Q.   CAN I USE A TABLET OR PHONE TO TAKE AN EXAM?

A     No. Tablets and phones are not permitted for taking exams. A laptop or desktop computer with webcam is required.

Q.   WHAT CAN I HAVE WITH ME DURING THE EXAM?

A.    You may have a drink on your desk. You will also have access to an on-screen calculator, the appropriate ANSI-AARST standards and any necessary formulas within the exam platform itself. The exam resources also includes a digital scrap paper for you to make notes during your exam.

Q.   ARE BATHROOM BREAKS ALLOWED?

A.    One bathroom break is permitted during exams (no longer than 5 minutes). You will be required to perform a 360-degree video scan of your room for the proctor when you return.

Q.   WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE ISSUES CONNECTING TO MY PROCTOR OR GETTING ACCESS TO MY EXAM?

A.    If you are having trouble logging in for your exam, make sure you are logging in at https://prod.examity.com/AARST/ with your 5-digit Client ID number. Once logged in, if you are still having trouble connecting to your proctor, you may have inadequate internet speed. If you are unable to resolve any issues with your proctor, please contact NRPP at exams@nrpp.info.

Q.   WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET DISCONNECTED FROM MY PROCTOR DURING MY EXAM?

A.    It is imperative that you reconnect to your proctor as quickly as possible. If you are not reconnected within 15 minutes, your exam will end, and you will be required to reschedule.
